Volunteer work program in Uvita, Costa Rica

A work opportunity at the Toucan Hotel in Uvita de Osa, Costa Rica.

I often need help in running the hotel, maintaining the property and dealing with customers. If you have some free time on your hands, and would like to stay for a while (minimum 6 months), please continue reading.

I am looking for people who are willing to dedicate about 8 hours per day to help at the hotel. I am flexible in my work hours and require you to flexible with yours. Work duties might include: sweeping and mopping the floors as needed, handling garbage, general maintenance and cleaning of the property, greeting guests, answering phones, collecting payment and selling beverages and snacks.

You must speak English and have at least an intermediate level of Spanish. I also give preference to travelers who have already done some traveling in Central America, since tourist information is an important part of the job. I require workers to practice personal hygiene and be cleanly dressed when interacting with the guests.

I am looking for people to help with:

Bar Person - Are you able to crack a beer, mix a drink and carry a plate? Make sure that the bar runs smoothly and that our guests are happy? We are currently looking to recruit a barperson for high season.

Office Person - I need someone to receive guests, show them rooms, take reservations and collect payments.
